For those travelling through Zurich Airport’s D Gates, there is good news, with SWISS International Air Lines reopening its Non-Schengen Lounge
The lounge is located within the airport’s transfer zone, and offers its visitors a wide range of attractions over its 650 square metres, providing views of the airport apron and the distant Alps, and allowing travellers to enjoy a selection of food and drinks.
The new lounge features various zones for passengers to visit. These include a bistro that offers a wide range of food and beverages, with meals freshly prepared on-site with a particular focus on fresh, healthy and varied cuisine.
A further lounge zone offers the opportunity to work, with three closed workstations and three open workplaces.
There is also a rest zone that provides an ambience to do so with its comfortable wing chairs.
Showers are also available for anyone wishing to freshen up before their flight for those departing from the Non-Schengen area.

A welcome addition
If you’re time constrained at Zurich Airport but still need to access a lounge before a flight, the new will be a welcome pit stop before jumping on an aircraft.
Given this lounge is in Non-Schengen Zone in the D Gates as well, it should be quieter depending on the time of day travelling, compared to the main SWISS lounge in the main part of the airport.
For those on Lufthansa, SWISS Or Star Alliance flights, this will be welcome indeed.
