After moving to Heathrow Terminal 3 in July 2022, Iberia is set to move back to Heathrow Terminal 5.

With the move to Terminal 5, there are changes to the passenger experience.
Head to the right terminal
First things first, check which terminal your flight is heading out of. Some British Airways flights to Spain still operate out of Terminal 3 and may be codeshared by Iberia. Thankfully, if you need to swap terminals, there are train and underground options that are available free of charge.
Check-in
If you have to drop off luggage or you didn’t get your boarding pass online and need to get a physical one at Heathrow Airport, you’ll find Iberia’s new check-in area in Zone B of Terminal 5 on the departure level.
Fast track
Fast Track security is available for those who are entitled to it (be it by ticket or status). There you can be met by Heathrow’s happy and wonderful security staff.
Lounges
Depending on your ticket or status will depend on what lounge you can access. These include:
- Galleries North
- Galleries South (Concorde Room, Galleries First and Galleries)
- Terminal 5B (depending if your flight is going from the B Satellite)
Check the screens before you head to a lounge.
Connecting flights
If you have a connecting flight that may be affected by this terminal change, you’ll receive a notification informing you for the changes. Remember to build in a minimum of 90 minutes for a connection if you need to swap between terminals.
Check the Connecting flights’ information to help you plan.
One Happy Family. Again.
Once again, both IAG Airlines (British Airways and Iberia) will be under one operational roof in the same terminal, allowing the group to take advantage of the economies of scale, as well as British Airways seemingly getting their act together after a chaotic summer 2022.
We’ll have to see – as there are still pain points in the Terminal 5 passenger experience.
Just remember, if you’re connecting to a British Airways flight that operates to Spain, you will still have to go over to Terminal 3, whilst Iberia itself operates out of Terminal 5.
