Well, after trailing it for so long, Qatar Airways has unveiled its QSuiteNext Gen product.
It was unveiled by Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer and others at a ceremony at Farnborough 2024.
The redesigned Quad Suite will be equipped with movable 4K OLED Panasonic Astrova IFE screens. The screens can be repositioned to the side to create the largest social and productivity space in the sky for up to four passengers in the Quad Suite, and up to two passengers in the Companion Suite.
The Quad Suite has also been enhanced with increased space for dining together as well as added privacy with taller, digitally controlled dividers. The seats will also feature larger lie-flat and double beds- along with a turn-down service called “Make my bed.
The new Companion Suite has similar characteristics to the Quad Suite, now with the noteworthy revamp of offering the same shared space in window aisles.
The Qsuite Next Gen delivers a vast array of customisation options, ranging from ambient lighting to privacy controls, through its upgraded touchscreen Passenger Control Units.
Here’s the flythrough video Qatar Airways has pushed through various channels.

“We are excited to have finally revealed the long-awaited Qsuite Next Gen at the Farnborough International Airshow. Qatar Airways has once again raised the bar for its award-winning product, the Qsuite. Deployment
You’ll be waiting for a little to try out Qatar Airways Qsuite Next Gen – as they will be featured on board the Qatar Airways Boeing B777-9 aircraft during 2025. The airline has made no comment if it is going to retrofit this to older aircraft
Stepping up QSuites
This is the third iteration of the QSuite product – with the first rolling out in 2017. Since then a second version – the Adient Ascent Business Class Suite was introduced for the Boeing 787-9.
Given that time has passed, innovation and technology need to catch up as passenger demands continue to evolve – with Qatar Airways targeting groups of travellers (be they couples or families) to create social spaces, it’s an interesting move.
Although there will be many of those who will be happy to close the suite door after take off, put the seat into bed mode, and drift off until close to landing.
