jetblue offers “Match to Mosaic” status match

If you’re after jetBlue Mosaic status, there could be a good status match opportunity ahead.

The airline is launching a new ongoing status match called ‘Match to Mosaic.’

TrueBlue Customers with Elite status on qualifying U.S. airlines are eligible to receive Mosaic status. The airline is matching the following:

Those who qualify for the status match will receive complimentary Mosaic 1 or Mosaic 2 status for three months with opportunities to keep their current status or by levelling up (up to Mosaic 3).

You will need to achieve the following in the complementary time to extend your status. You can level up or down, by the below number of tiles within three months:

• Mosaic 1: 10 Tiles
• Mosaic 2: 25 Tiles
• Mosaic 3: 40 Tiles

Tiles are a way for TrueBlue members to track progress toward Mosaic status while also unlocking perks along the way. One tile is awarded for every $100 in qualifying purchases on JetBlue, JetBlue Vacations, Paisly by JetBlue, and many JetBlue extras.

Additionally, one tile is awarded for every $1,000 in eligible spending on all JetBlue credit cards.

During the three months of Match to Mosaic, participants will receive all Signature Perks associated with their matched Mosaic status level and one pre-selected Perk You Pick:

Mosaic 1:

• First Two Checked Bags Free
• Free Inflight Beer, Wine & Liquor (ages 21+. Up to three drinks)
• Same-Day Switches
• Mosaic Boarding
• Priority Security
• Even More Space at Check-In
• Preferred Core Seating
• Dedicated Check-In
• Dedicated Support Line and Priority Chat Assistance
• Pre-selected Perk You Pick: Mint Suite Priority
  • Priority access to Mint Suite selection on select aircraft (pending availability). Excludes Mint Studio

Mosaic 2:

• All Mosaic 1 Signature Perks and Perk You Pick
• Even More Space at Booking (pending availability)
• Pre-selected Perk You Pick: Pet Fee Waiver
  • Jet with your pet (cat or small dog) on all eligible JetBlue-operated flights at no extra charge ($125 value per flight)

If you complete the tile challenge, you will have an opportunity to select your own Perks You Pick after earning status through the following year.

Worth it?

This is one for those whose travel patterns will dictate how you fly. Given the complementary status is for three months, you’re going to need to funnel a lot of flying in Jetblue’s direction if you want to maintain or claim higher tiers (at 1 tile/valid $100 spend). That costs out to:

• Mosaic 1: 10 Tiles – $1000
• Mosaic 2: 25 Tiles – $2500
• Mosaic 3: 40 Tiles – $4000

If you’ve got a lot of travel on jetBlue ahead, and can at least funnel $1000+fees over the three months (or more), it could well be worth it.

As usual, do the sums and check your status with other airlines before you go matching.
