Finnair increases flights from Helsinki to Heathrow

Finnair seems to on a roll, with news that they are to add a fifth daily service between Helsink and London Heathrow Airport. Lufthansa to roll out Mobile Phone services on long haul fleet

As we move to be ever connected in the air with WiFi, some airlines are looking again at mobile communications in the air. Lufthansa is working with Aeromobile to install a system to allow passengers to connect their mobile phones on a roaming basis to Aeromobile's network aboard the plane, and connect out from there. Ryanair to allow personal electronic devices during all stages of flight

It seems that Ryanair has got approval from aviation authorities regarding the use of personal electronic devices during all flight. This is effective from 6th February 2014 (today). Korean Air to launch 2nd A380 service to New York-JFK

Korean Air is set to increase capacity between Seoul Incheon and New York-JFK, as it will be converting all its flight operations between the two airport to operate Airbus A380s. Virgin Atlantic pulls the plug on the Hong Kong – Sydney route

It seems that Virgin Atlantic is struggling with the London to Sydney via Hong Kong run - and is suspending the route between Hong Kong and Sydney. Virgin Atlantic (the UK arm owned 51% by Virgin Group and 49% by Delta) blame the withdrawal on "increasing costs and a challenging economic environment".
