Trains - Departing Birmingham

Good afternoon from somewhere in the United Kingdom. Where, I'm not sure as I'm typing on move. Well I know I left Birmingham on the way to London - that much I do I know. The rest is a blur. Much like my life is at the moment. I'm on a train to London on what are pretty much last minute tickets. And as usual - between Birmingham and London, there's a variety of … [Read more...]

Complaining, EC261 and that Hawaii Tier Point Run…

16/02/2015 by Kevincm

British Airways Embraer E-170SR

Whilst the main trip report is still in progress (which this week - will feature BA1 across the pond), there is a thing I need to talk about in regards to the Hawaii Tier Point run. And that's about the joy of complaining. Let me be blunt - those who followed me know of the downgrade I had by US Airways (as they managed to sell/upgrade someone in the time it took BA to notify … [Read more...]

Virgin Atlantic Airbus A340-600

It's Sunday again, so it must be time for some more airplane art. This week during a cold morning is a Virgin Atlantic Airbus A340-600 taxing around its home base at London Heathrow Airport as it prepares for its next journey somewhere across the world. Virgin Atlantic operate a fleet of 13 of these super-long quad-jet aircraft, which operate across the network the … [Read more...]

Things not to do on a plane continued: Do a Rambo impression

14/02/2015 by Kevincm

As demonstrated on this Ryanair flight between Riga in Latvia and Dublin Ireland trying Rambo out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phzGLI7GvuU Video - Gints Akmentins/Youtube. The drunk passenger took off his shirt, and started his best Rambo impression by punching the walls. Not a very safe thing to do in any circumstance - least of all in the air. The plane … [Read more...]
