Alternatives to Heathrow Express

As I may have stated some time ago, I'm not a fan of Heathrow Express. As a single traveller going from A to B, having a measly 10% off (which can be a saving as low as ... £2), the faff of using a National Railcard (which counts me out as I don't qualify for most of them... and the only one I'd qualify for I'd use so rarely, I'd barely recover the cost on it). China Southerns Boeing 787s arriving at Heathrow sooner than expected.

It looks like China Southern Airlines will be deploying their new Boeing 787's to London Heathrow a lot sooner than was first thought. Originally, the Skyteam member was meant to be operating from the beginning of the winter timetable (27th October 2013). British Airways adds an additional service to Mexico City

British Airways will be boosting the frequency of its London Heathrow to Mexico City service, with the addition of an extra flight (taking it from three flights a week to four). Ethiopian Airlines 787 fallout: Transport Canada orders ELT inspections

CityJet to pull London City – Edinburgh Route

It seems that CityJet is giving up a key route between London City Airport and Edinburgh, with the suspension of the route after the 26th October CityJet operates between the two cities 4 times a weekday, with fierce competition from British Airways who operate 8 return flights a weekday.
