SQ: Maybe there is money beyond the main cities…

15/06/2010 by Kevincm

Singapore Air is a funny old beast of an airline, running A380's across the world and keeping its fleet relatively young. It's also had a link to Manchester for quite some time, that has been recently under strain when the direct service went patchy to 3 days a week, and finally, the service was switched to 5 days a week with a diversion to Munich to pick up more passengers.Well … [Read more...]

With 234 units on the order book, and 90 of them Emirates, it's clear to see who wants the capacity there in when the upturn fully hits. … [Read more...]

04/03/2010 by Kevincm

The problem with the online world and social media is sometimes, things don't always go to plan.Take Lufthansa for instance. They decided to harness the power of social media to name their brand new Airbus A380.  With an offer of 1 Million Miles on the table, some wag was going to have some fun with this. And so they did.A Russian woman nominated the name of  … [Read more...]

Your next flight to Dante’s Inferno – Operated by Air Austral

20/11/2009 by Kevincm

The Airbus A380 - Sometimes called a WhaleJet or a BlunderBus, it does have redeeming features in the carriers that have so far implemented it - least of all in First, Business or even down the back where there have been innovations throughout. However, Airbus quote a theoretical 853 ultra-dense all Economy layout of an A380 as the maximum design limit. Well it seems Air … [Read more...]
