IAG’s Spanish arm – Iberia – is looking like once again, it is going out on strike.
This time, it’s four days over two weeks – and below are the dates:
- 17th February 2012 – List of What’s cancelled
- 20th February 2012 – List of What’s cancelled
- 24th February 2012
- 29th February 2012
Iberia has been working on a replacement timetable for the first two strike dates, with the cancellations on the other two are date to be confirmed. From a quick read of the lists, it looks like Domestic, European and International Services are hit.
If you are hit, head over to the Iberia web site, and manage your booking.
SELPA – the Spanish Pilots Union is striking over the creation of Iberia Express, citing that the carrier contravenes agreements made between the union and Iberia during the merger of the Iberia with British Airways to create IAG.
Life is never simple eh?
They’re worse than Air France.
Iberia is starting to remind me of the SNCB/NMBS, which isn’t treally a compliment.
It is slowly turning into the situation that existed last year with BA and it’s Cabin Crew strike. Hopefully, they won’t end up going at it ten-bells like they did in the BA Strike…
Is Vueling part of this strike? Or just the core Iberia group?
BostonFlyer – it looks like Vueling isn’t affected. Just core Iberia services.
