Not that I want to panic anyone, but for those who want to redeem on Star Alliance metal with BMI Diamond Club Destination Miles, we’re now at the final crunch point for those redemptions.
Remember the following:
- Ability to do Star Alliance redemptions ends 31st May 2012
- Star Alliance privileges revoked from 1st June 2012.
- No earning on Star Alliance flights from 1st June 2012
- You cannot redeem on Lufthansa family flights (Lufthansa, Swiss, Brussels Airlines, Air Dolomite, LOT, etc)
- The Diamond Club Destination Miles to Avios conversion tool begin on the 3rd July 2012
There are also reports on Flyertalk of Turkish Airlines also blocking BMI Star Alliance redemptions too.
The options for redemptions are slowly drying up now as we get to the final final deadline for Star Alliance spending.
If you’re that desperate to make a redemption, you’ve got 2 days to get it done, dusted, and ticketed.
