UPDATE: EasyJet expect their site to be up tonight according to their website:
EasyJets’s website is currently up, but there have been some problems today. Online check-in and the booking engine are affected. This affects web and mobile bookings.
According to the airline:
We are currently experiencing some technical issues which are affecting our booking and check-in systems. We are working hard to resolve them as soon as possible and apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers.
The Register – http://www.theregister.co.uk/2013/10/15/easyjet_website_crashes/ – has some more background on the issue, but the advice is simple: Try again later if you need to book, or turn up to the airport early as they’re doing a lot of things manually at the moment.
EasyJet will be announcing when things get back to normal, so keep an eye on their Twitter feed @EasyJet.
Still – it’s never a convenient time for a website to fall over…
