A few days ago, I begun to have a repetition of an issue I had with my previous Macbook Pro – the internal keyboard is giving out.

Well it seems Apple’s hardware division is getting worse (and I’m not referring to the power plug issue), with my current beast of burden suffering the exact same fault (but with different keys this time) after one year and seven months.
I’m not impressed to say the least with this MacBook Pro.
You’d be surprised how many times you need the letters G, H, J, K and L on a daily basis.
Alas, getting an appointment at my local Apple Store’s Genius Bar is akin to finding Qantas F space, a Lufthansa F Seat or a cheap European redemption with Miles and More.
In other words, as tough as anything.
I’m going to try and continue posts as normal (for whatever counts as normal at Economy Class and Beyond) – but there will be points where I won’t be able to post due to having no functional computer… or if it’s impossible to type on this classic Mac Keyboard (and considering how mushy this keyboard is, typing could be very tough skill indeed)
On the minus side, I suppose I’d better look for an emergency laptop…

Having the exact same problem on one of my MacBooks. And can’t seem to get a Genius Bar appointment.
I suspect I’ll have to buy a new keyboard and get Mac to install it £300+ although I’ve seen more and more similar people posting similar issues recently.
(The weirdest thing is that the keyboard is slowly giving up. 1 key at a time. Now it’s 4 problematic keys)

I’m expecting a repair bill of that much. It’s just dratted annoying.
Exactly the same thing to me too.
Grrr.

Have you tried pressing option 5 times.
Or ctrl 5 times?
It seems to have solved some people’s probs. But not mine.
