It’s been coming since the recent trouble in Turkey, but Turkish Airlines is feeling the pinch.
Network cuts are coming thick and fast according to AirlineRoute.

Both Short/Medium Haul and Long Haul Programmes are affected, with drastic capacity cuts across the board.
I’m not going to go through the list with every single change, but here’s a few highlights:
- Istanbul to Los Angeles drops to 7 flights a week
- Istanbul to New York drops from 3 to 2 times daily
- Istanbul to Doha drops to 10 flights weekly
- Istanbul to most European destination sees drops of at least 2 flights a week, most dropping 3-4 flights a week
- Istanbul to Munich takes the biggest dent with 10 flights a week chopped – reducing it to 25 flights a week.
If you have bookings or redemptions with Turkish Airlines, I would strongly recommend you check them for changes.
Whilst Turkey continues to adjust after the events in the country, its airline continues to adjust – bringing the fast expansion of Turkish Airlines to a juddering halt.
Only time… and stability in Turkey will dictate if Turkish Airlines can restart its path to growth.
Hopefully as Turkish Airlines can find its footing again as it shakes off recent events.
