The airline will operate a six-times a week service between Reykjavik and Dublin from 8th May 2017.
FI416 DEPART KEF 07:30 ARRIVE DUB 10:50
FI417 DEPART DUB 11:45 ARRIVE KEF 13:05
Commences 8th May 2018
Operates Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays
Booked Equipment: Boeing 757-200
The airline will use a 3-class Boeing 757-200 on the route, comprising of Saga (Business Class), Economy Comfort and Economy Class seating.
There’s a dedicated landing page for the new service.
Icelandair is a bit late into this route – with WOWAir running regular services to Reykjavik (Keflavik) and Aer Lingus who run seasonal charters.
Whilst the route will build into Icelandair’s hub at Reykjavik (and its wide route network serving 20 North American cities), and onward to North America – you will loose out on one of the major benefits of departing Dublin.
And that’s the US Border pre-clearance – where you can skip the queues when you arrive into the USA.
Still, for those who prefer to connect outside the USA – or enjoy a stopover in Iceland, this could be an attractive proposition.
