Everyone favourite airline that wants to be a rooftop bar – Joon – is taking over another Air France mainline service. This time, it’s taking the route to St. Martin/Sint Maarten in the Caribbean for the summer months.

The timetable will change over the summer period, based on the following
AF498 DEPART CDG 10:40 ARRIVE SXM 13:45 AF499 DEPART SXM 15:45 ARRIVE CDG 06:05+1 Commences 4th August through 27th October 2018 Operates Wednesdays and Saturdays Booked Equipment: Joon Airbus A340-300 Data: RoutesOnline.
Jon will operate the flight as a three-class service with Business, Premium Economy and Economy Class with an Airbus A340-300.
This is split down as:
- 30 Business Class Seats
- 21 “Premium Economy” Seats
- 227 Standard (Economy Class) seats
The planes will be fitted IFE screens as well as content to devices via its YouJoon platform.
The change is loaded on the Air France site for all to see – spot the magic icon.
If your travels are pointing towards the wonders of St Martin/Sint Maarten as it continues to recover from last years horrendous hurricane, there are worse ways to travel there, than aboard a flying rooftop bar.
Editors Note: I’m going to refer to Joon as a Rooftop bar, a fashion brand or whatever their PR original referred it to. Why? Why not. Also, if you’re wondering about the mind-set of Joon, here’s how they explained it at Passenger Experience Conference 2018.
