- American Airlines sets the final flight of its MD-80 aircraft – Its time for the American Airlines MD-80 fleet to bow out – on the 4th September
- TAROM adds nine new ATR72-600 to its fleet – TAROM sticks to ATR for its domestic fleet
- Turkish Airlines take delivery of their first Boeing 787-9 – the first of 25 for the airline, who is also due A350s this year
