It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have an Aer Lingus Airbus A320 in its “Green Spirit” livery, celebrating Irish Rugby touching down at Manchester Airport as it completes the short hop from Dublin Airport.
Aer Lingus operate a fleet of 31 Airbus A320 aircraft in its short to medium-haul fleet. The airline also maintains an additional A321 in its short-haul fleet.
These aircraft are used to connect Ireland to Europe, as well as to connect passengers through Aer Lingus’s hub at Dublin Airport, feeding them onto the airline’s Airbus A321LR and A330 fleet.
This aircraft – EI-DEO – joined the Aer Lingus fleet in July 2005. It has flown for the airline for most of its life – save a short adventure when it was subleased to Virgin Atlantic for its Little Red subsidiary, where it returned to continue service.
EI-DEO currently appears to be based out of Cork at the time of writing, operating services to Europe from there.
More Airplane Art Next week!
