We’ve hit the end of another week, and if you’re in the UK, a welcome break from the opressive heat.

But its Saturday, I’ve been out raiding Mega Starmie, and its the end of the week. Time for Last Week at Economy Class and Beyond.

Let it Rain! – Solihull Station.

Routes and Networks

  • SAS tries again with Copenhagen to Mumbai Route – Let’s hope they’ve got all the approvals this time
  • Brussels Airlines lines up some Nordic winter destinations – Two in Finland, one in Norway
  • Etihad to add Gothenburg to its network, with an A321LR – Thin and long for the winter
  • Emirates passes flying 2 million passengers through London Stansted – If you give people the chance not to fly from Heathrow, they will.
  • Alaska Airlines continues its European adventures, adding seasonal connections to Athens and Paris – With Boeing 787-9s
  • AirAsia pulls its Kuala Lumpur to Sydney service – And redeploys the capacity.

Passenger Experience

  • American Airlines announces a raft of improvements, including IFE screens and premium seating – Rolling back Oasis.
  • Eurowings to expand Premium BIZ seating to London, Mallorca and Málaga – coming to eight A320neo aircraft

IFE+C

  • Qatar Airways rolls past 150 Starlink installs, with its first Boeing 787-9 fitted – 83% done 0n the widebody fleet

International Rail

  • Virgin Trains edges closer to international services – UK track access rights granted – Another step forward toward 2030. Now if they can order some trains, that might just help.

Next Week

Over the next two weeks, we’ve got a more than a few automated posts as your author is going to be a bit busy in the real world. As such, posts are as and when I get round to them (but hopefully daily).

What am I up to? Keep an eye on my BlueSky feed. There might be more than a few intresting things. And who knows? Next week’s round up and I might have some pictures.

So until next week, Happy Landings!

Now, where did I put my passport…..
