It's Saturday again, so it's time to place your seat in the upright position, stow your table and fasten your seat belt as it's time for this week's safety demonstration presented by Alitalia Another safety video next week … [Read more...]
First screaming kids, then the laptop, now the camera. World…. STOP IT!
Sometimes, trips are incident free. This one is nothing but FILLED with them As we all know, I had screaming kids and kids that used the plane as a climbing frame on the way out Then the laptop decided to die accross the pond due to a dead hard disk data cable (Repaired thankfully) And NOW the camera is being a royal PAIN with dust over the sensor that's being hard to … [Read more...]
The Apple Store at Grand Central contains Geniuses
And I'm back with the laptop as the Apple Genius Bar did their magic and had the repair done for me overnight. Not much to write today, so here's a picture from my hotel: Well.. I might have something to write later... … [Read more...]
Limited updates ahead
Hi all. Due to a catastrophic failure on my computer, there will be limited updates for the next few days. If I'm lucky, I could be online tomorrow. If I'm not... Well I'll see. Apologies, but this is way beyond my control at this time (and updating using the phone app is a pain up the jacksie) Thanks for your understanding. … [Read more...]
Greetings from NYC (and some parents need to control their kids…)
My thoughts on BA1: excellent service, excellent product. A full trip report will be coming soon. Now, whilst the crew and product were excellent, I'm going to win no friends at all with parents (Sorry Mommypoints), but there were elements on the flight ruined due to hyperactive kids... And their parents not controlling them (for example, using the set as a climbing frame, … [Read more...]

Please excuse me.... ;) … [Read more...]
So which way AM I going to New York?
A few months ago I posed a question to you all in the form of a poll: Well lets discount a few of these... There isn't a hope in hell I'm swimming or rowing in that direction! Me. On Virgin. After all the lovely things I write about this airline? I somehow think not... I may like Deltalina, but I'm skipping Delta as I've got no Elite Status (does … [Read more...]
What’s in the Air Canada Elite Kit?
Continuing the series of what's in different elite kits, this week it's the turn of Air Canada who have shipped an elite kit to me. Opening up the kit, and it's off to the really important fun … [Read more...]
Air India to begin accepting Boeing 787-8 deliveries
It's taken long enough, but Air India has received final approval from the Indian Government to begin taking delivery of its first Boeing 787-8. Boeing, Air India and the Indian Government have been at odds over the delivery of the aircraft due to the delays of the 787 being built, and the compensation required by the Indian Government. A cabinet committee on … [Read more...]
