BD: Updates Earning Tables for BMI Metal flights – expect more changes…

05/02/2011 by Kevincm

British Midland International have been busy and are applying new earning rates to their flights.

And for those who know, this is another step on the road from Diamond Club to Miles and More with booking codes slowly aligning up with the bigger programme.

The new booking classes will be on sale from 8 February 2011, for travel on or after 1 April 2011.

Existing bookings post 1 April 2011 in a booking class that is changing, then the booking may automatically be amended to the new booking class.

The level of miles you earn will remain the same, and all original ticket conditions will apply. See http://www.flybmi.com/bmi/en-gb/loyalty-programmes/diamond-club/bmi-booking-class-changes.aspx?cmp=em14144 for the full remap of all the booking codes.

If you’re trying to use to use miles for upgrade on BMI flights, note these codes are changing too, specificialy;

  • Y, S, O, B for flights up to and including 31 March 2011
  • Y, B, M, U for flights on or after 1 April 2011

Just another step on the road to migration…
