From the 30th March 2014, Lufthansa’s transformation plan to make its European service will hit Dusseldorf with a bang, as 243 flights over 31 routes will switch from Lufthansa Mainline/Lufthansa Regional to Germanwings.
The full list of routes is at http://airlineroute.net/2013/10/11/lh4u-dus-s14/, with services being operated by a mixture of Airbus A319s, A320s and Bombardier CRJ-900s on certain routes
Germanwings operates a single cabin, with fare classes split into Basic, Smart and Best
– Best operates in rows 1-3 offering a EuroBusiness style product, priority check-in and two bags of luggage with lounge access
– Smart offers an on-board snack, 1 bag and reserved seating, with lounge access for FTL/SEN card holders
– Basic offers a seat with hand baggage only.
Booking is open on these routes, with the full transformation continue to the end of 2014 as more Germanwings take flight over Lufthansa European Mainline services.
