Lufthansa adds extra Transatlantic routes from Munich

06/11/2013 by Kevincm

Lufthansa are adding a pair of extra routes for the Spring/Summer 2014 timetable, with Toronto and Mexico City joining the map from Munich.

Munich – Mexico City

LH520 DEPART MUC 22:25 ARRIVE 04:25+1
LH521 DEPART MEX 10:30 ARRIVE 05:10+1

Commences 3rd April 2014
LH520 does not operate Monday and Wednesday (5x weekly service)
LH521 does not operate Tuesday and Thursday (5x weekly service)
Booked Equipment: Airbus A340-600

Munich – Toronto Pearson

LH494 DEPART MUC 11:55 ARRIVE YYZ 14:50
LH495 DEPART YYZ 17:45 ARRIVE MUC 07:45+1

Commences 5th June 2014
Operates daily
Booked Equipment: Airbus A330-300

A departure from Munich offers connections across Lufthansa’s European network – with the added bonus of not getting lost around Frankfurt (which at times can be an absolute maze). It should also provide some reasonable access to reward space as Munich isn’t as oversubscribed as Frankfurt

Although those of you who are booking with United Miles might think otherwise….

You had a typo for YYZ-MUC arrival (you had YYZ as arrival)

More route is better for Aeroplan redemption for ex-YYZ, sadly there’s YQ on LH flights

      Adjusted… Thanks.

She about the YQ.. For those of us in Europe (or on European programmes), it’s a nasty part of the redemption game…

Will these operate with an F product?

Unsure. Will have to check the booking engines…

YYZ smells like it could, whilst I’d be surprised if they put F to MEX…

Really? There’s LOTS of $$ in MEX.
