Joining Iberia and Lufthansa – Qatar Airways will be joining the self printing luggage game with the introduction of Q-Tag.

Q-Tag is available from all flights departing Doha on lots of its flights – 103 destinations in total according Qatar Airways.
How does it work? Pretty much like the other soultions
- Check in at home
- Enter you wish to check baggage in at home
- Print out the A4 sheet which is now you you luggage tag
- Fold and bring to the airport
- Place inside a holder which you can pick up at the airport
- Drop the bag off at Web Check In Bag Drop.
Luggage has to be within appropriate limits and must be dropped off 60 minutes before departure.

No details have been given if this is to be rolled out to other Qatar Airways outstations.
For those who like to do everything at home, this could be a nice time-saver – requiring you to do the printing and then just drop your luggage off.
