Last year, I went to the TravelMagic conference in Brussels – which was great to see so many frequent flyers and mile collectors from a European and Beglium perspective (and proves that the frequent flying game is truly around the world).
Well, the team behind it have gone a step further, by launching the first Frequent Flyer community site, targeting the Belgium community and beyond – called TravelMagic.be
Whilst sites like Milepoint and Flyertalk are great resources for an international flyers, sometimes language can be a barrier (a great example is me trying to book a business class seat on a Spanish website in French… and just about succeeding), so creating local language forums and resources is a good thing to see – as well as sharing knowledge, tips and tricks.
And that’s a good thing to see.
Good luck to the TravelMagic team – I hope it’s a great success. You can visit the site at http://www.travelmagic.be
Boarding Area has some European coverage with blogs from the UK (both GhettoIFE and Miles From Blighty), Holland (Points to be Made), Malta (Malta Points) and Italy (Fammi Volare).
It would be nice to see a Belgium blogger come forward and join, sharing the knowledge. Go on. You know you want to!
Want to keep up with me at GhettoIFE? Join me either by signing up for my newsletter, or follow me on Twitter @GhettoIFE for when there are posts to the blog!
Also remember that as well as being part of BoardingArea, we’re also part of BoardingArea.eu, delivering frequent flyer news, miles and points to European readers!
