Due to the scheduling chaos created by British Airways – with an A318 out cold – I’ve had to chop and change my onwards itinerary quite heavily.
I had booked a return Ryanair flight – but I can’t make that due to the new timings imposed – which has put that connection in the bin.
Good thing it was only £25.
I therefore need to position back to London to get home – and at this late stage of the game, my options are limited.
- Re-timed Aer Lingus flight £99
- Re-timed Ryanair flight £75
- BA Revenue fare starting at €326
I think we can all agree those are “OUCH” numbers – especially the BA Revenue fare.
I wish I was kidding – BA Revenue Fares
Thankfully, this the reason why we have Avios…. and why we have Reward Flight Saver
Dublin to Heathrow is a Band 1 flight – and the costs… well – see for yourself:
Yes – Seats available – even in Business Class for a grand total of 4500 Avios in economy or 9000 Avios in business. I’ve booked business class because – well – I’ve got way too many Avios in my battle pile, and this is a good way of burning some off.
This was booked – with 2 days before travel.
British Airways A319 – The Dove, Image – Economy Class and Beyond.
For those of you have Avios, remember – using them tactically is never a bad idea.
Well – it beats sitting on the boat on the way home.
