The Airbus A350 is slowing becoming a common sight, with more operators taking delivery of aircraft. Speaking of new operators – TAM will be looking forward to delivery of their first A350.
This took a step forward with TAM’s first A350 taking to the skies.
TAM will be the fourth operator of the Airbus A350, and the launch operator of the type in the Americas. TAM itself is part to LATAM who have orders for 27 A350-900 aircraft in its TAM division
For Airbus, there is a tight schedule ahead to complete testing – as the aircraft is due for delivery in December and for TAM to begin operations in January.
In the first instance, TAM will operate services between Sao Paulo and Manaus inside Brazil. TAM will then expand its A350 operations to from Sao Paulo to Miami, Madrid and Orlando.
Flying in the back of the Airbus A350 – it’s a rather comfortable experience (certainly – I found it more pleasant than a Boeing 787), and I’m looking forward to seeing more of these aircraft in other operators hands.
