Emirate to bring the A380 back to Moscow

16/06/2016 by Kevincm

It seems that the economy is picking up in Russia as Emirates confirm they are to relaunch Airbus A380 operated services between Dubai and Moscow.

Emirates will be deploying a three class A380 from the 1st December 2016 to Moscow Domodedovo International Airport after a period where Emirates have operated smaller planes.

The Airbus A380 will be operating the EK131/EK132 flight pair.

Here’s the combined operation, forming one of two services operated between Dubai and Moscow:

Dubai to Moscow DME
EK133 DEPART DXB 10:00 ARRIVE DME 14:20 Boeing 777-300ER
EK131 DEPART DXB 17:30 ARRIVE DME 21:55 Airbus A380

Moscow DME to Dubai
EK134 DEPART DME 16:40 ARRIVE DXB 22:55 Boeing 777-300ER
EK132 DEPART DME 23:55 ARRIVE DXB 06:20+1 Airbus A380

Commences 1st December 2016
EK131/132 operates with an Airbus A380
EK133/134 operates with a Boeing 777-300ER

Emirates capacity has fluctuated, with different equipment being used (switching between plane sizes). It seems that Emirates is happy enough to restart A380 services to Moscow… and confident it can fill its double-decker giant plane.

Still in term of passenger experience – I’d prefer the A380 over a Boeing 777 in economy class. Why? Larger seat space to start with as Emirates operate their Boeing 777 fleet in a crushing 3-4-3 configuration….
